This is the fifth scenario of the Levantine Campaign and Act I of a multi-part series based solely on Anatolia during the culmination of the Levantine Campaign
In 1302, Osman I, a rising power in Anatolia, chose to flex his muscle in the region. Osman (the founder of the Ottoman Empire) met George Mouzalon of Byzantium on the plains of Bapheus. Mouzalon and his army, before the gates of Nicomedia, repelled Osman's forces. Together with a Levantine contingent led by Otto of Savoy, the combined Christian forces pushed Osman's army south towards Nicaea
Osman and his base-camp army met the portion of his military retreating from Nicomedia. Reinforced by an auxillery attachment from the Mesudan Beylik, Osman hoped to take Nicaea, with the intention of controlling Ascanius Lake and the surrounding towns and villages. If Nicaea fell, Osman's reputation would be salvaged, and a western stronghold gained.
The remaining Christian forces from Nicomedia regrouped at the lake-side town of Keramos. Would they make it in time to help defend Nicaea?
This scenario has over one hundred triggers. I believe you will find this one of the best siege/defense style scenarios available on EE Heaven. Enjoy!
Playability: 4.5
A quick scenario as this is only Act 1. Gameplay is straightforward, but one misstep will definitely land you in a tight spot!
Balance: 4.5
As always, I played on Hard. Resources are abundant and in very clear areas of the map, so gathering them is not hard. Prioritizing which resource to get though is a must, since you can't produce any more citizens. All in all, you need to use all your EE knowledge regarding Civpoints and counters to survive this scenario.
Creativity: 4.3
Since this is a straight forward defend a spot scenario, there's not much room for fancy features. The ones existing more than made up for the smooth flow of the story and the game.
Map Design: 4.3
Solid, you know it is Altec's map by the big swaths of terrain and hills really conveying height.
Story/Instructions: 5.0
Blend's well to the overall story-arc of the Campaign. Let's move on to Act II, tek!

The downside I only see Tek, is that it is only Act 1. I prefer big campaigns, similar to those you've done in the past. So much looking forward to the later Acts!
