After the death of Alexander the Great, his empire splintered into several powerful kingdoms, as his generals seized control of the far-flung realms he had conquered.
Seleucus grabbed the throne of Xerxes in Persia, and Ptolemeus took power in Egypt. At first, the brilliant general Antipater seized Macedon but he was unable to hold onto Alexander's land of birth.
After a hundred years of war, one man has finally emerged and proven himself worthy to sit on the throne in Macedon. Now he is ready to rebuild Alexander's empire.

TECH NOTES
- The problem with newly-allied Roman troops hanging around Macedon has been fixed.
- You can no longer abandon Pella as a strategy.
- Two additional defeat conditions have been added: The destruction of the Palace of the Antigonids, and/or failing to garrison your home city of Pella.[Edited on 03/10/08 @ 08:27 PM]

Really great scenario. I'm at the part where Rome invades Grecee. But so far, it took a while to capture Grecee. One of the best I've played in a while! -Thanks
P.S. Nice topic of rebuilding Alexander's empire. |

Glad you're enjoying it Commando4!
WARNING:
A bug has been reported to me and I'm going to upload a slightly modified version:
To capture Pergamum, you must 1) Destroy Pergamum Army, 2) Destroy Pergamum Barracks + Archery, then 3) tribute them 300 food. This is just like the other cities, but there's no message telling you to do it! Sorry!
THIS BUG HAS BEEN FIXED
Also fixed a tiny glitch where the victory cinematic was starting just a wee bit early.
File update on 2/4/08.

I'll play the new version.
I'll post a comment on it later.
EDIT: When you capture a city, its kind of useless, as you have to destroy their military buildings.[Edited on 02/04/08 @ 09:55 AM]

It would be great if you could make a sequel to this, like a campaign in Persia, or Egypt. You know what I mean?
EDIT: Also, you can't build any phalanx units, I was stuck to building cavalry the whole time?[Edited on 02/04/08 @ 09:58 AM]

Commando_4: Thanks for hanging in there! Here are some answers to your concerns...
- In Sparta/Peloponnesia you can keep the barracks and archery Range. In Aetolia and Crete, you can keep all their military buildings. In Athens, you get military buildings on Euboea and you get their docks.
- Hmm, you should be able to build phalanx units the whole time. Are you sure you're looking in the Barracks? Also, when you take Pergamum, you get "Seleucid Phalanx" enabled which is of course Spanish Infantry.
- You mean, a campaign recounting the Successor kingdoms in Persia and Egypt?
EDIT: Yup, I just checked. You can build regular Phalanx the whole time, and "Seleucid Palanx" when Pergamum is defeated. Don't know why you would be having problems with this...

Maybe because i'm playing it in AoC. I'll try the regular one, thanks for answering me questions.
Like a continuation of the scenaio, lead Macedon on the reconquest of Alexander's Empire, not just the Medditeranean. |

Playability: 4
Good playability. No bugs that I found. Triggers move nicley, and it pulled me into the story, right from the beggining.
Balance: 4.
In the begging, you had to fight a large host of enemies, but it was do-alble. It took me hours to finnish it on easy, so you get a 4.
Creativity: 5
I've never seen a scenario where you rebuild Alexander's empire. Good job
Map Design: 4
It wasen't the best East Medd. map. But it served it's purpose.
Story/Instructions: 3.5
Again, this could have been better, as it was fully up to you on how this could be done. The history gives good background. It gets gind of boring after a while, because there is no new objectives. (only when you invade another territory.)
Additional Comments: A nicley done scenaio, and worth a download if you're intrested, in challenging scenarios.
