Topic Subject: Beta Uninstall Problem

InstallWizard is telling me I still have the Beta version of EE when it's already been uninstalled. I can't load the full version until it's gone. It keeps giving me the same message to uninstall and I keep clicking the uninstall button and it goes through the process but it still shows that I have it on the Uninstall window of my Control Panel. Please help if you know what it's looking for to be deleted. I am running Windows 2000. Thanks

E-mail SIerra and ask for a list of the reg entries and file locations, and delete them yourself.

I have the same problem with installing. When i attempt to remove the demo.(was fun) The uninstall wizard gives the option for maintenance or removal. When I choose remove it tells me that the maintanence has been removed. Getting fustrated I did something stupid. I went in and deleted the entire Sierra folder. Went back to the control panel to attempt remove again. Nothing changed. Only differance is that the folder is now gone. Should I download the Demo again before attempting removal again?

If it make a differnce. This is windows 98. Can anybody provide the proper contact info to Sierra to save time and hassle?

answered my own question. Customer.support@sierra.com.....found this is the readme txt. by the way , I tried using the find files looking for both sierra and empire earth. Deleted every file that was related. Didn't make a differnce at all. Not I am regreting not having the patience to just wait and buy it. I didn't need the Demo to "sell" me on it. The scenarios were pretty weak anyhow. Was basically a waste of time. Enough of that. I am just suprised that this isn't a more prevalent problem out there. Why would this only happen to a few unlucky individuals. Or is this a question that will arise repeatedly as more people buy the game after trying the demo. If that is the case....we need to come up with a standard answer instead of passing the buck to technical support. I understand that this is their job and all. It just seems that 98% of the problems are related to hardware issues. This is purely a software bug. Thanks for putting up with my seemingly endless chatter. I am greatly looking forward to challenging you all in the future. Remember my name. I plan on becoming famous for putting you all in your place. Is that inviting static from you all? Or just a hollow boast? Time will tell!
