Chris Theriault Mini-Interview

Q: How long have you been at SSSI and what were you doing right before you were hired?

A: I've been here 10 months. Before that I had just finished studies to get my MSCE and was going to try an IT-related job someplace.

Q: Is there something you added to or created for the game, that was not necessarily in the original design, of which you are particularly proud?

A: Lots of stuff in the Scenario Editor. I collaborated with several people on it, but during the implementation we were able to achieve nearly everything we wanted.

Q: What's the first thing you'll be doing after Empire Earth is released?

A: Walking along a beach in Brazil with many beautiful women.

Q: If you had to pick a single event that most influenced your decision to enter the gaming industry, what would it be?

A: That day in the 5th grade I made my own version of Risk ™.

Q: Besides games, what other hobbies or interests do you have?

A: There's something else besides games?

Q: What place that you have not been to would you most like to visit, and why?

A: The Grand Canyon. I've seen more of the world at large than I have of my home State, and I want to see it before pollution takes more of a toll.
