Day 4:

Although technically not an actual part of Empire Earth University, Sunday was nonetheless a part of my trip, so I shall cover it in this article:

Around 9:00 in the morning, I was picked up at the hotel by Chooch, Zen and Icefyre… let me tell you, it was great to finally meet those three. I have known Zen for years, and Chooch and Icefyre for a number of months. They are just as cool in real life as they are online, and it was certainly a great experience. We spent the morning and early afternoon walking about Boston, then went for a bite to eat before returning to SSSI for an hour or so of gaming before it was time for me to take yet another taxi back to the airport. We had some great conversations, many of which were centered on HG… as well, I also discovered that Chooch furthers the stereotype of "crazy Boston drivers" ;-)

Also, I discovered in one of the restaurants in Chinatown that anything that contains squid meat is probably not the wisest choice for me to order. All in all, it was awesome to finally meet some of the people that I am good friends with online:

After we went back to the studios and played the game for a while, it was time for me to leave, but not until after saying goodbye to all of the other "graduates" that were still at SSSI… and so I returned home, with a much greater understanding of the gaming industry, and my first diploma from a University…
