This is the fourth scenario in the Levantine Campaign.
***This is a fairly short scenario, unlike the others. I have implemented unique triggers to make the battle more interesting than a typical EE battle. Hope you enjoy***
In history, in the year 1302, Osman I (founder of the Ottoman Empire) met George Mouzalon of Byzantium on the plains of Bapheus. Mouzalon and his army were the last line of defense between the Turkish assault and the vulnerable city of Nicomedia. The people of Nicomedia watched the battle from atop the city walls. Mouzalon and his army were routed by significantly large Turkish force. Following the battle, Osman I successfully conquored Nicomedia, Nicaea, and all of Bithynia. Not long after, Osman I consolidated the Turkish Beyliks into the Ottoman Empire.
In this fourth installment of the Levantine Campaign, the player takes the reigns of the Byzantine Empire for the first time. Your Byzantine army, led by George Mouzalon, must hold the Turkish onslaught at bay until the Levantine forces arrive to relieve Nicomedia.
played it. Simple but good one. In the final battle, with Turkish reinforcements coming in from south, I lost all my soldiers but Otto.

Hey Soty! Thanks for playing!
Yeah I wanted to do something different - something straight forward and fun.
As far as your army goes, I played through it at the end five times and ended up with roughly 25% of my army every time. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I would also be grateful for any review/feedback you have!

I totally agree with Soty, the scenario is simple, but fun! I have played it 3x, trying to preserve as much as possible the Byzantine army.
I would like to have a greater control on movements, especially on the spearmen, since they are really sitting ducks. Maybe bodyguards guarding the Emperor.
Balance: 4.8
Played on Hard, but I still think the enemy is manageable. The player needs to be tactical, yes, but once you get the mechanics, the gameplay becomes really enjoyable.

A solid 5, tek! The scenario captures a set piece battle, and even with the limits of EE, you've nailed it here! Truly enjoyable.
Map Design: 4.5
Terrain mix and elevation is sufficient, knowing that it is simple battle space.
Story/Instructions: 4.8
This is again, where the scenario shines more. Giving the real historical events vis-a-vis alternate history really positions where the player is.
