if you ever felt that an usa and a russian marine having the same textures was a bad idea, i got the solution;
It is actually possible to change textures and their stats, depending on the faction.
This is a very simple file, just a test. Creating whole new factions takes time and ideas. but it's a start.
The files of this mod make it that if you choose the "united states" civilization (or the market power in custom civs), the marine will change it's texture.
Test it, and maybe bring ideas, why not

Pps: The mod uses db files. If you are using another mod that needs them, make a backup. Warned you eheh
Ppps(they never end): you NEED aoc. It uses civ powers.
Expect updates in future; by the time this was approved i made improvements, and im finishing a 6 civ ancient age mod :p

This is fantastic! Just changing the texture gives us millions of possibilities for many different civilisations. Good work. If Marine exists... maybe Marine - Snow, Marine - Desert, could also be invented... having Desert Units, Snow Units, for the different environments. Empires: DOTMW had some Desert Units in the Scenario Editor for the Patton Campaign in Africa.

Im currently making a mod based on ancient times(greece and persia etc) by doing what this mod did :p
I can add the different marines like you said, the only problem is ai will use each of them in maps (can be solved in scenarios)
But yes it's possible :p expect the ancient mod soon (plus the time of approve)

this in a great tool or a great contribution to relive this wonderful title, but I have a question, how did you do it? and more important ahun, how do I do to do the same as the American marine?
