So, I am totally new on this site and this is my first campaign. I know it probably needs lots of work and I acknowledge that. This contains just the first level, so it's not a lot, but it's some. As for it being on AOC, I put it on AOC SOLELY so I could use the space terrain and units. I need constructive criticism for this to go anywhere, so please comment and rate. |

Welcome to EE Heaven :D It's always good to see new designers here. I"ll play and review it (which should come up in a few days). Oh and for your campaign description, you should also add a summary of what your cammpaign is about.
EDIT: I finished! I must say your campaign interested me alot (in a good way). You made me love the futuristic ages so much more :D I see great potential in this campaign and you as a designer. If you want, I could help you in the final version in any way. (in map designing(love making elaborate maps), triggers, tips, etc).
Also, please visit sotyscndesign.proboards.com/index.cgi if you have any questions or need help. We're more than happy to give you any tips you might need.
Oh and also, I found that my zeus II mod works amazingly well with your campaign (it's in the modpacks section if you are interested).[Edited on 08/20/11 @ 04:53 PM]

Playability: 3.4
The campaign was way too easy in some points and way too hard in others. I suggest since the natives are allied with the outpost, the outpost should provide forces to defend their land. They were too easily overcome otherwise.
Also you should lessen the amount of ores, especially if it resources are supposed to be scarce and hard to obtain. You should also make the towers at the outpost weaker. I understand destroying the capitol is supposed to be challenging, but maybe instead you could make troops spawn there when you troops are near it.
Balance: 3
Like I mentioned, the balance was uneven. Making the natives harder to defeat and the outpost slightly easier should balance it out. It would also be interesting if you put in allies or gain the ability to ally with certain players ;)
Creativity: 5
I would give you over 9000 if I could. Your campaign was the best I have ever played in terms of drawing me into it. Once I opened the campaign, I really felt like playing it. I never wanted to play a campaign this badly before. Also, you have nice pictures and a decent storyline to go with it. Even though this is a demo, you could talk more about the story in-game by adding more diologue and cinematics.
Map Design: 3.3
Because you used space terrain, it is already well-mixed. But the desert regions required more work. Try mixing and blending different shades of desert and sand to add realism. Add eye candy such as rocks or scattered carbon deposits. You should also make the outpost look more elaborate. The asteroid was very empty and blank. Also, the path leading to the natives main camp or city looked too unrelistic. Try making the path lass straight, or mak it completely straight and paint it to make it look man-made. When you transition from one paint to another, always mix those two terrains in between them. Example: One half is red, other half is blue. They don't really connect to each other unless there is some purple in between. Or like inbetween the colors on a rainbow.
Story/Instructions: 4
The instructions were short, but because it was a demo, it didn't need to be long. There was enough information to tell me alittle bit of background info and instructions to get me through. Tip: pressing alt+F9 in the scenario editor will create a scenario instruction map, like in the built in EE campaigns. You can find the map in Computer/Local Disk/Sierra/Empire Earth Art of Conquest. It should be saved as a jpeg image.
Additional Comments:
Can't wait till the full version comes out. I see alot of potential in this campaign. Also, you should cinsider adding some crazy effects or ideas (trading, morale, troops spawning, etc) to make it more interesting. Good Luck! Keep Designing. Practicing and experimenting with triggers is the best way to hone your skills. |

Thank you very much. I could definitely use help on the triggers, because they can get very (especially the cinematics) confusing. I will definitely go and post any questions I have.
As for better balance, I will definitely put a good deal of work into it.
Thank you very much guys, you can expect an update sometime in the next week or so. |

I can help you on triggers, but don't expect the cinematic to be too excellent ;)
Just drop me an email of the campaign/scenario file along with a description of what ya want me to help you on : Mr.UNleash@gmail.com
You could also upload it here, but I wouldn't recommend it. You should keep it a surprise until it is fully completed :) |

So, a quick note; I have decided not to upload any updates until the entire campaign is completed for designing and timing purposes. However, I will be uploading other unrelated files in the mean time. |

Campaign's doing great. The first level that I posted on here has lots more added on to it. And I have others as well.
Haven't been on here for a while because school's been giving me tons of homework. Sorry nothing new's been up lately, but it is definitely coming along. |
