The Temple of Roarthasc is a worthy continuation of the series that the author, altec tek started in The Epic of Thomas Mustaine (http://ee.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=2301). This is a quick but enjoyable scenario, a little bit of a cliffhanger, but very good in setting the plot for the continuation of the series.
As the author noted in the hints section, the scenario is story-driven. This fact, coupled by the RPG-ish style, somehow limited replayability. The solidity of trigger work and the smooth flow of the game play delivered the setting nicely.
The scenario is not action packed(you have minor skirmishes here and there) but the defense of Keprie more than made up on the earlier lack of blood. Here, you need to manage your small force and evaluate (intelligently) your tactics to last long enough against the enemy. (actually reloaded twice, before I managed to get the right tactics!) Good work, tek!
Map Design: 4.5
The map is functional, and areas of importance have good eye candy. Areas for improvement include more beach-ambients and darker/ mixed shades of beach. You could also have sea-blood archers guarding the shores instead of sea-blood pike.
Creativity and Story/ Instructions: 5.0
I am continually impressed by the way altec tek creates scenarios revolving around compelling storylines. This scen is another product of a very good story-teller!
Hold tight: Thomas and Vince will be back to regain the lost territories! (Don't keep us waiting, buddy!)
