The unfinished project of mine.
The year is 2042. Vast advances in fields such as medical science, artificial intelligence, and weapon technology have certainly brought the world forward, but forward in the wrong direction. The dividing line between the rich and poor does nothing but spread wider and wider, and politics has become nothing but a joke, a joke among the politicians themselves.
After the discontinuation of the NAFTA trade agreement, and tax increases on Mexican imports, people were not quiet about their protests of this decision, and violent "terrorist" groups rose up to directly oppose the government, spawning a war on terrorism with deadly consequences on both sides, and in between.
Will you find yourself caught in the middle of this war, or will you find yourself taking sides? Will you uncover the truth, or refuse to see the truth? There is no such thing as choices being made for you in La Guerra de la Republica.
#200+ triggers
#700+ effects
#A conversation system
#Roam anywhere you want (not much of a point since I never got to a lot of features)
#A (hopefully) fun story
I also can't find the ambient sounds that were to come with the game, which really sucks, because they were good!
I may continue this one day, but there's not really much of a crowd of people that play this game, so I wouldn't count on it. Hope you enjoy it for what it is.
And please don't forget to back up your files if you need to.
**special thanks to Ninja Jedi**
UPDATES:
**v1.02 -- More recent version
**v1.05 -- Removed tester units; added sounds; fixed various things |

Just found a more recent version in my emails with Ninja Jedi, which reminds me, he deserves a great deal of credit on this, he did a lot of work, including making nearly all of Toronto, graphic scaling included. I'll update this later with the newer version.
Alright, updated.[Edited on 11/25/09 @ 02:19 PM]

This is very buggy, I'll see if I can clean it up and update it for you guys, and maybe even make some more progress if I get positive feedback. :) |

the map is amazing! but i did not know what to do with the scenario; there are a couple of units in the map, and i don't know where to start. did you intend it to be that way? |

Yeah this is really in its testing stage, so it's pretty messed up. I've updated it a couple of times, so if you downloaded it a while ago I think I fixed that problem.
Has anyone made it to Burger Palace? I was originally going to add more ways to find it, and of course I never made the map to find it on since I never finished.[Edited on 12/01/09 @ 04:54 PM]

Weird, well, the diplomat is what you want. It's toward the bottom of the map in the middle, and he's in a "building" that has a brown "hardwood" floor. |
