Again, this is unfinished and is still a while away from being finished, but it's far more updated than the previous demo. I tsill haven't finished the triggers for the cities, so you'll have to recruit your units from france and spain, once you've conquered it. But you can go to war with all the other nations and defeat them. The game systems are practically exactly the same, there is only a minor change in the city capture system, which i had to make due to a bug i found while playtesting.
The mods included in this game were all made by killer tomato, thanks a lot.
I also give thanks to A Banned User, who's given me help and advice during the making of this. Again, thanks a lot.
I wont be uploading anymore demo's of this now, so the next time this game is uploaded it will be the finished thing, though it will be atleast another month from now before that happens. So, in the meantime, enjoy this demo and any feedback would be nice. |

This is an awsome scenario, I can't wait until its finished. I kinda feel like I'm playing a game in the total war series.
BTW, I think there might be a glitch. In Madrid, it like, continually biulds Grenadiers every 2 mins, even though I didn't click on it. |

Hello Scu06sdc!
The scenario is looking REALLY nice! Can't wait till the final version is released.
One of my concerns is that the countries your at war with don't attack, they just sit there waiting for you to invade them. What I was thinking that you should do is in your city of Paris, make a defeat trigger that if your enemies occupy it for say 2 miniutes or more you lose. As far as im aware at the moment there is no actual way to lose. XD
Then you need to set up countries your at war with to invade, i'd reccomend doing this with triggers, creating them in area X and task area attack move to Paris.
However, not all countries should attack though, the smaller ones probably would be much more focused on defending.
Heres a list of countries I think could attack:
Britain- Make regular attack through Portugal and Spain, army made up of British infantry and riflemen (Didn't notice any when I played through it, so I don't know if riflemen are being included or not, hope they are though). Should also send navy attack against your ships.
Spain- Make large but few attacks, made up of their infantrymen.
Prussia- Make regular attacks, made up of their infantrymen and cavarly (Prussia were well known for their strong cavalry)
Russia- Occasinal attacks, with large armies.
The others i'd reccomend to stay on the defensive, One of the Italy states could also send attacks, Portugal may also want to make attacks accompinied with the British attacks.
Countries should stop sending attacks when you've captured all or most of their cities.
Another thing regarding Balance is the fact at the beggining you start off with the ability just to let your recourses build up, and prepare a huge army. Then you can just declare and march your troops staright into a country and easily take it. I think at the beggining you should put the player at war with one or two countires at the start, so they can't do this, and it'll spice it up a bit. Like Austria and Prussia, for example.
The map was outstanding, Europe looks brilliant. The only problem I saw with it is that Russia looks to lush. Maybe you should expand the snow down a bit to cover another two cities or so. Also, I think using Spruce tree's in Russian instead of maple would also make it look less lush.
Now just for some smaller issues.
I found a bug. When you declare war on Britain, they don't actually attack you, but you can attack them, the only way I could get them to attack was when I declared on Portugal, so they'd declare war on me.
Im glad you gave Spain some partsians, but also give some too Portugal around the hills surrounding their city.
Britain should also have some troops in Portugal and a few in Spain too. The idea is too make invading Britain, Portugal or Spain a difficult task, and the difficultest countries to take (along with Russia).
Anyway I think thats just about it!
Oh but one question!
What is the victory condition going to be? Is it when you've defeated a certain few countries, such as the major powers of that time in Europe (Britain, Spain, Russia, Portugal, Prussia and Russia) and the other countries are their as bonuses, and stepping stones. Or will you win when you've defeated the whole of Europe. Personally i'd go with the first idea. [Edited on 12/16/07 @ 06:13 AM]

Thanks for the comments again. To answer your concerns:
-In the finished game the countries you declare war on will attack you rather than just sit where they are waiting to defend. I only made it as it is now becuase i havn't created all the triggers yet, and i wanted to make sure there was more to attacking the larger countries than just attacking th cities, but as i say, when you attack a country like britain, austria, etc they will create large armies and try to attack you.
-I didn't know there was a glitch with britain, so i'll sort it out.
-Also, while talking about britain, i havn't abandoned the rifleman idea, and they will be included in the final game.
-I understand what your saying about how in the beginning you can just build up your resources and armies and attack realy easily. So i was thinking along the lines of what you say, and having france at war with austria and prussia. I might make a small cinematic at the start to show the start of french revolution, and then have austria and prussia declare war. I guess i could make it so that at some point later on, king louis gets executed, and have britain and spain declare war aswell. guess it would make it harder than simply letting your resources build up.
-I see what you mean with russia's map so i'll try and change it along the lines of what you say.
i think thats about it, so again thanks a lot. |

Yeah. If I remember correctly, they should have tonns of grenadiers with almost no attack or defence. |

I just finished playing it. It was awsome. I agree with the later hat you couldn't be defeated, and they didnt attack you. Besides that, it was an excellent senario. Can't wait ti'll the final version is done. |
