"Days and years pass as the glaring truth about the corruption of Roman governing members were evident. This, however,is not a story of the fall of the Roman empire but is seemingly a story of me-the victim of Roman corruption and politics before the dark age.For years have I served Roman Empire but nothing shocked me as much as what was to happen in Rome. The situation was partly clear when I was given the task of protecting a Roman outpost. The barbarian hordes have doubled by then...
Installation notes:-
You will be happy to know that there are no additional sound files and media accompanying this one scenario campaign. For Windows XP/Vista, all you have to do is extract the archive to c:\Sierra\Empire Earth\Data\Campaigns
For Windows 95/98 , you'll need winzip.Download it from www.winzip.com and then extract to the directory mentioned above.
I wanted all players to be able to finish this scenario , so I didn't think about making it hard.So sorry if you were expecting the challenge similar to Charlesmagne. On a different note , the snow fall effect is back, but unfortunately I didn't include the sign trigger(reading signs is not possible in this scenario).Hope you enjoy this scenario , although I don't think it is great , but maybe it is of average quality. All kinds of feedback negative and positive are welcome , but must be constructive in nature.Like for example don't just state that the map design sucks..say why it does..not enough eyecandy or world object etc etc..However I doubt whether I will be updating this scenario.

Playability: 3.8
This is a very enjoyable role playing style campaign. However, the reason for deduction of points is because of two main reasons. The first one being is i'd have liked to see some sub quests that could be done. Also, there wasn't really much action in it as you might expect in this type of scenario. Too much of the scenario was taken up by long unexciting walks.
Balance: 4
The scenario was too easy in my opinion. Although you have explained in your first post that you've made this easier. I feel there was little challenge, except when you were ambushed by huns. At the end after meeting atilla I was hoping to be chased by some of his horseman, however he just remained stood there leaving me to stroll quite slowly and with no worries to the temple.
Creativity: 4.6
Although there have been other scenarios like this. It is clear a lot of time and thought has gone into this. Well done!
Map Design: 4.2
The map was really good, with lots of terrain mixing and eye candy, considering how big the map was. However, i'd have liked to see some more elevation as the map was too flat. Also, the obstacles sometimes seemed to obvious. Such as a very long path that is surrounded by trees , so you can't stray off the path you want us to take, another one being the cliffs to the north only had one way up and were the same elavation all the way through.
Story/Instructions: 4.5
It was pretty clear what I had to do and where to go, with objectives and hints changing as you advanced through the scenario. The walkthrough was a nice idea but sometimes it seems with the objectives you were only stating the bare minimun, for example i'd have liked more help when searching for things, such as the dead soldiers shield, as I wasn't expecting it to be an artifact.
Additional Comments:
A very good and enjoyable scenario, it's obvious, a lot of work has gone into this.

Did you notice the patch of trees near the pink walls where the undefeatable soldier is? the life source is behind those trees. Just bring the catapult close enough and it will auto-matically destroy the life source. |
