You have rebuild a settlement in old west and are cut off from resources of the east coast. Locate indian tribe's War Chiefs and have them killed. You'll have to be both defensive and aggressive to win and figure out how to balance production and conquest. |

Playability: 2.5
The map was so big and with 15 or something computer opponents there was constant battles/lag. Not any triggers that i saw (i only played 30ish minutes into it because lag made me go crazy) or cinematics. In the time that I played I never saw one "chief" and i destroyed the bottom right cornor of map. Also it was near impossible to kill a computer opponent because one cit would run away that i didn't see and build in a different spot and with only 200 pop limit you cannot hold entire map at once. Also was the speed on standard? It didn't seem as fast/very fast
Balance: 2.7
Uh...it was clubman/rockthrowers vrs bombards and guns, even outnumbered 15:1 i made one big like of 1 cavelry (in this version have gun) and put a bombard behind and wrecked everything, also i made 3 strat heros witch healed my people if a rock got to them. Even the mass of towers didn't stop my line.
Creativity: 4.8
Amazing creativity...different warriors for tribes, new infantry/cavalry for user, different towers to defend base, nice starting base. Would've liked to see some chiefs though :P
Map Design: 2.5
Ugh...Gigantic map...I saw no water or hills in the 1/2 map i explored and there was alot of empty just plains with 2 or 3 horses and a square bunch of trees in the open. Lots and lots of resources...Outside of map/users base has loads of mines/food patches, in middle its as i said kinda just plains with a few horses here and there.
Story/Instructions: 4
Few grammer errors but not many, Decent story line/some good hints.
Additional Comments:
~Start Couple ages below and have them start in stone
~Make map smaller
~Less resources to start with
~Less resources around base..make user look for spots and make a fort instead of 5 gold/iron/stone mines behind 2 sets of walls
~Infantry and Musk's cost the same...what am i gonna buy a guy with a spear or a guy with a gun :)
~Indians should all have upgraded speed so user cant micro their guns/siege (aka line fires then runs back behind 2nd line, 2nd line fires runs behind 1st line again while the front units cant attack)
~I look forward to seeing an updated version of this..glad to see there are still some Scen/Cam. editers these days...I would make maps but i suck at trigs :)

Thank you for your constructive critic. That’s what I need. And it came soon!
Let me first say scenario is designed for difficulty hard and that’s the level on which it’s tested (I forgot to mention it in the presentation); well, I tested it today on medium and found it too easy, though not everything is scripted and things may turn out different from play to play on different levels, saw that today.
Human Player’s initial resources are fare to high, yes.
War Chiefs will present themselfes. And for a period you’ll have the chance of killing the one after the other and you’ll think it will soon be over. Then . . Maybe not.
On hard level I’ve definitely defeated both two and three AI opponents before hitting all War chiefs, and without having to destroy all their construction buildings.
I played a few missions in a campaign the other day, some viking story with a lost brother, but it went quite boring ‘cause I was never really threatened. That was the meaning of this scenario: To be threatened all the way if you didn’t watch out, well that was the idea.
Is the map too big? Perhaps…
Regarding speed, some enemy units are given great speed; perhaps I should’ve let them be more aggressive earlier.
Defensive structures, the way to win this scneario is eagerness in building any defensive structure early in the game.
I agree that map itself is not very inventive as a whole. The starting point is a beginning, not continued with.
Lots of resources outside base: No secure places.
Grammar errors: I’m not english/american.
About your additional comments: I agree with most and saw that even before reading your post.
Yes, I have a plan of making a new and better version of this mission. Then perhaps make it impossible to play on easy and medium level and give human player less initial resources/units, evt. defensive structures. Put in some speciall effects and perhaps let Indian Medicin Men and Chiefs be more present.
The problem of making a scenario concerning difficulty is that you know it in and out, the downloader player doesn’t. What I think is easy, player might not or opposite.
Anyway I like the idea of this mission and will do something about it; the map design has to
be improved and I must add more of other effects.
Thank you!
(Guess I haven’t fixed any smilies in my profile yet.)

I forgot: About the cinematics effects: I've liberately ignored them and haven't yet bored to figure out how to script them. Why? I've downloaded so many files where cinematics destroy the whole game fun. Either you cant get rid of them (ESC doesn't help)without saving, quit and reload or they pop up constantly in every thinkable situation and you have no chance of playing.
IF YOU CAN'T DO CINEMATICS, DON'T!
Lots of you can! Let them do it!
And about bugs in generally: I've even downloaded a scenario where instruction said THIS SCENARIO IS NOT PLAYABLE!
Why?

i dont kno anything about makin' maps :D...but sometimes it says "invailed saved game" or somethign like that it may mean beacause you need AoC to play it (when you dl it should say "AoC ____ (yes/no)" otherwise might just be a bug where you can't :) |

Dude, you thanked him for his criticism and then you basically threw it back in his face. Just take it and do with it what you will. |

Well, didn't mean to be unpolite or shoot him down, on the contrary!
Regarding invalid downloads: Yes, think it's AoC files not recognized by the original EE program, experienced that too; not always information about what version a scenario's made for. |
