My first scenario!
It's a very simple scenario with basic triggers and a basic idea. Using William Wallace from the movie Braveheart take him back to his hometown to start eh Scottish Uprising and defeat the Englsih Magistrate in control of the town. Soon after surge forward and root out every English Force in the area. You'll need resources to do this and collecting them will require effort as the resources are far apart and you cannot build settlements.
It's lacking in much extra stuff as i'm not very good at Cinematics and getting Message's to fire at the right time is very very hard.
Anyway this is stage 1 for this scenario and i'm looking at making an entire Braveheart Campaign.
Please review and critque this scenario so that I can get better in my future scenario's.
Thanks

Playability: 3.8
This scenario is playable and it's not hard to understand what's going on. However, there were still numerous little glitches and inconveniences, such as spelling errors, the lack of cinematics, all units starting out facing north, and the main characters being damaged right at the start of the scenario. It's not going to bother you too much if you overlook them, but details never hurt.
Balance: 3
You captured Braveheart's fight scenes pretty well. You are severely handicapped with bad weapons but you have tons of warriors, and to win you have to mob the English to death, which is pretty much what happened in the movie. Still, it's not too much of a challenge. The garrison at the end is somewhat hard but there is not much of a penalty for losing men, since they can be replaced easily, and so you just have to have the patience to repeatedly assault the garrison until it falls.
Creativity: 4.8
This is a very creative idea, not many scenarios these days are set in ancient/medieval times, let alone be adaptations of movies.
Map Design: 4.5
This is very good map design for a first scenario. You obviously put a lot of effort into it. There are lots of trees, logs, rocks, plants, etc. to really make you feel like you're in the wilderness. The town was also very well designed, it looked a lot like the one in the movie, except for the Dark Age architecture. What is that doing there? It looks out of place; Roman structures in a Celtic village?
Story/Instructions: 3.3
There were lots of spelling and grammar errors, but it won't bother you if you're not a grammar freak or perfectionist because it's still understandable. There were lots of hints, although most of them just either pointed out the obvious or gave you too much help, so much that you know what's coming.
Additional Comments:
This is a very good scenario. When compared to others it ranks below average, but for a first scenario, this is actually pretty impressive. If you want a serious challenge or a really fun time this probably isn't for you, but it can stand its own ground.
I liked this. There's plenty you can improve, and with experience you can become a scenario master. |

Excellent review lxpeng, and thank you for it. I've already started working on the suggested things as well as few things of my own that I hope will spice it up a tad more. An updated version will probably come out within 2 weeks at the most.

Hmm....Well It should be a Scenario File with no, music attachments, so it should be a task of taking the file and putting in the Scenario Sub-File...I had a lot of trouble figuring out this up-loading process myself...I can attempt to re-trace the file but that's all I know for now... Sorry I couldnt help that muchh
