I was wondering if any People of the Community could help me?
The AI of a Random Map Game say Single Player / Multiplayer behave very differently compared to say Scenarios or Campaigns. I am not sure if Random Map Scripts contain Code for Computer AI or not.
If you were to make your own Scenario as a Blank Map, with a Capital and Resources nearby, you'll most likely see that the Computer and it's AI does not Behave the way you want it to. Instead of Mining nearby to their Capital, their Citizens will sometimes go every way across the Map. Yet, if you were to Generate a Random Map, the Computer and it's AI would Behave properly.
Making the Computer AI behave correctly for different Scenarios seems very Hard. You could use Many Triggers - which could Slow Down Computers not capable, and sometimes Triggers can Fail too.
I am not sure if say Saved Game Files and/or Random Map Scripts contain any AI Settings Code for how the AI should Behave.
But perhaps, if we were able to Edit the Files, we could Insert our own AI Coding, rather than Triggers, so the Computer AI Behaved EXACTLY how we would like.
To put it shortly, the AI never Behaves how I would like it to. Walls on a Hand-Made Scenario can Confused Computer Players with their AI, but Random Map Script Generated Games seem to run Fine.
Can anyone help me/us more, give some Advice and Information?
Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays,
Bradley.
